I remember a book that we used to have read to us when I was at primary school (about 9 years old) and it was about a little girl who had a pet dragon called Custard. I remember it because there was a repeated line in it: "really-oh truly-oh little pet dragon". (For some reason my husband and I say this to each other to reassure the other when they don't believe something we've said).
