Doodle 038 - Let's play a game

Sometimes when I feel like I've hit a wall and have no idea of what I want to draw I will randomly select animal photos and try to turn them into something slightly different.

I have a weakness for cute things, so I normally go for fuzzy adorable type of animals. As I searched for ermine photos I stumbled upon the photo of an insect called "ermine moth"...

Ermine Moth (Source)
I don't know why, but it made me want to draw this:

Ermine Moth Royalty - Blue, mechanical pencil and brush pen on plain Moleskine notebook. Aprox 15 mins.
After that I went back to looking at ermine photos... as I started to doodle one, I decided it would be a bit boring to just draw a straight up ermine... so I decided to go on ahead and do this:

The Last Ermine Centurion - Blue and mechanical pencil on plain Moleskine notebook. Aprox 10 mins.
Hehehehe... yeah... my brain, it goes to funny places sometimes... ok a lot of the time.

Anyway, once I finished the drawings I thought it would be fun to make this a bit more interactive, so here is the deal: I'll draw the first 10 combos you guys leave on the comments of a cute animal AND an outfit.

For example: Kitten on Elizabethan garb (you can suggest that one too).

This will help me draw a bunch of stuff over the weekend and hopefully will make you guys smile as I try. Sounds like fun?

Ok, then... go!

Ooh, this is fun! I'd love an owl in a journalist outfit. Like one of those old-timey "press" hats and a suit?

Cause owls are always asking "who?" lol

Alright! We got all ten. They went faster than I thought.

If you have more ideas and didn't make the cut-off, don't worry. I'm thinking of making these a regular weekly thing.

You can keep posting the combos anyway just in case I finish the first 10 early.

Thanks for playing along with me guys!

Not exactly a combo idea, but if you haven't seen it, you should check out The Bloggess's stuffed ermine, named "Erminie Granger." And she is dressed accordingly. Might be fun to draw, and if not, fun to look at at any rate.

In fact, here is a link for you. http://thebloggess.com/2012/04/home-again-for-a-day/

Little late here, but have an idea all the same! Mobster Schnauzer sounds cute/fun to me!

I'm late too, but how about an aristocratic Great Dane? That's how I picture my Dane. :-)

And I absolutely LOVE the moth drawing!!! It really screamed at me and I spent several minutes just oohing and ahhing over it.
