Doodle 128 - Odd cuteness

I ended up having to come home at lunch today, the flu has been going around town and my office, several co-workers have already caught it, so when my throat started to hurt along with my head and extremities I didn't take second chances, grabbed my stuff, told my co-workers they were more than welcome to lysol me as I passed by and quarantined myself.

Andrei, being his awesome self, went out, got stuff to make soup and every other remedy to cure colds we have tried before with some success.

I am feeling better, but tomorrow morning will be the test, I don't want to spread disease, overall when we are under very tight deadlines, but tomorrow is the office's white elephant gift exchange, and it is one of the very few group things we get to do, (yes I even had my gift and everything ready to go), so I'll be disappointed if I am not well tomorrow.

Anyway, I worked some from home and was a good patient, finally sat down to draw and came up with these:

Flying jackalope fox? - mechanical pencil on plain sketchbook. Aprox 10 mins.
As I drew the little guy above I kept thinking about what would happen if I actually happened to find one fluttering somewhere... well it would probably go like so:

Me: "WHat In Tha?!?! Oh My... Goodness! What is that? I don't care, it is mine!"
Andrei: "Do you even know what it does?"
Me: "Nope"
Andrei: "What does it eat?!"
Me: "Don't know, don't care"
Andrei: "Does it lay eggs? Is it a mammal?!"
Me: "It is CUUUuuute!"
Andrei: "For all we know it could eat human souls for breakfast and kittens for lunch"
Me: "And it would eat them in some very adorable fashion... oooh what should I call it?"
Andrei: "We are NOT bringing that thing home, it looks evil"
Me: "But it is so fluffyyyy"
Andrei: "If it eats Legolas don't come crying to me"

Yup, he'd have to drag me away.

I have no idea? - mechanical pencil on plain sketchbook. Aprox 15 mins.
I don't know what this is either, it looks like a pup though, and I want one... no I NEED eet! (Anybody else sensing my biggest weakness here?)

Messeger - mechanical pencil on plain sketchbook. Aprox 10 mins.
This one looks like a character from Okami, which BTW is one of my favorite video games ever.

And finally:
"By George sir" - mechanical pencil on plain sketchbook. Aprox 15 mins.

"Good sir, why I never! Are you staring at my bustle per chance?"

Ah yeah, I gots issues.

I love this post. It's very fluffy, with just a hint of Victorianna. A winning combo... :)

Hope you feel better quickly!

Drawing #2 looks like a baby owl-gryphon, like http://doodleofboredom.com/ draws!

I like how sassy the Victorian girl is, too.

Now *I* want a flying jackalope fox!! I'll take care of it, and feed it, and clean up after it...

I wonder who was the first cartoonist ever to use the little "motion lines" in a drawing. They're very effective. I can actually hear the whir of those busy little wings!

I also lurve your kitties! I hope you are well enough to go to your party. Have some more soup. :)

Ack! That second one reminds me so much of Burupya in an anime called 07 Ghost! I love all of your drawings and I hope you feel 100% better soon~
