Doodle 302 - Doodle Mania!

You know how some days you don't feel like doing any work at all... and then others it is so easy, rather painless and fun?

Well today was one of the easy/fun days.

It all started with some silly MLP FanArt. Then as I tried to doodle some more I came up with an illustration that has a back story. In short, a village was forced to down some trees during the harshest part of winter. The lord of the forest and protector of the area was enraged and threatened to obliterate the village for breaking the contract they had entered in with him when they first settled in his forest.

The high priestess and diplomat of the village was sent to try and apologize. I am not really sure if she succeeded or not.

Then I just doodled some cute shiba inu nonsense for fun... as I tried to refine the Batman Fluttershy doodle, my cat, Garfield, decided he needed antention... and as you can see... well he tried his best, he even sat on my mouse LOL.

Doodle 301 - Variations

Sometimes when I start doodling I find myself trying to figure out a character and trying different things for the same one, different attitudes, etc.

Today I played around with two characters, a young princess and her lady in waiting.

Doodle 300 - THIS IS NOT SPARTA!!!

Ok so that's a silly title but I am silly, so it matches.

Today I am hosting a google+ hangout to draw my 300th doodle live, answer questions, get to know you all and get up to absolutely no good.

Things you will need in order to participate in this hang out:

1. Working computer, hopefully one that doesn't require punch cards and a whole room to be placed in.
2. Working internets (I know it isn't called internets, I worked I.T. for quite a while, I just like calling it Internets, it makes me happy).
3. A gmail account. Do not panic, if you don't have one go to gmail.com and create a free account. It takes only a couple of minutes, it is painless, I promise!
4. Speakers (so you can hear me/us)
5.  Microphone (so you can talk, may be optional)
6.  Webcam (so I can see you! Also may be optional)
7.  Low expectations (because come on I have never done this before and I am not a trained celebrity BWAHAHAHA, no, seriously, I am just a humble doodler).
8. (Optional) Paper and pencil, because we can all draw together while we nervously try to keep a conversation going.

Update: Well, we didn't have much of crowd, but we had a lot of fun and I got to meet at least one of you who I didn't know! Yay!

I think I'll host another hangout to celebrate my last doodle and hopefully we can get more people in there, overall now that I know google hangouts actually works pretty well and it is a lot of fun!

Doodle 299 - Meet-Up

Well, here we are, in the eve of my 300th doodle, I am both excited and a bit anxious about the project. Over the many weeks I have been at it I haven't missed one single day, I won't deny it hasn't been a struggle, some days I just want nothing more than to go straight to bed and not have to draw.

Other days I am so out of ideas/energy I am surprised I even can put a line or two on paper, but I have stuck it out somehow and my lines have gotten better.

I still have a lot to work on, and I am starting to figure out I will keep this blog going once I finish the whole year of doodles. I probably will post bi-weekly and finish my pieces though, but I plan on making a point of posting on a regular schedule to not let my drawing lapse again.

In the past 299 days a lot of things have happened. I started this blog, I somehow gained a wonderful group of people that encourage me daily, I moved cities, quit my job and started a brand new routine.

Life is starting to look pretty good, and my mental health is really improving by leap and bounds.

I couldn't quite figure out what I wanted to do to celebrate my 300th doodle, but then, I figured I could host a google hangout!

Basically, tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. E.T.  I will post a link here and on the facebook page, to join a hangout. There you will be able to see me draw, talk and well... hang out for an hour or two depending on turn out.

I am still figuring out the google hangout thing AND my computer has been acting wonky with the mic sound, so there is bound to be a glitch or two, still, my webcam works great and I will have plenty of pencils and paper.

Who knows, I might even take requests on the fly or we can play pictionary, we'll see how that goes.

I worked on an actual paid illustration today. Gotta finish it tomorrow early.

Also, Cyber has a couple of hot spots so tonight he is wearing the cone of shame so he can be itch free.

(Edit: And then I realized I skipped a whole 10 days, meaning this is my291 sketch instead of 301st, because I was so busy the past two days I totally lost track of time LOL, that sundae will have to wait) 

Did you notice? I have reached and surpassed the 300th doodle mark... it hasn't always been easy, but I'm very proud to say I still haven't skipped one single day since I started.

Even while traveling, moving cities, etc. I'm a bit proud of myself... might need to go to the Magic Kingdom and buy myself a sundae LOL.

Don't worry, Cyber hasn't been turned into an sparkly vampire, I just gave him a much needed bath, he wasn't happy about it, but he was good with it in the end.
