Doodle 243 - Moonlit Easter Egg Hunt

Hope everybody had a great holiday weekend! 

We did, we were busy but I got more sun, exercise and friends visiting than I did in months at our old town.

The house is slowly starting to look like a home.  My work area is still not all the way there, but I have all the pieces to make it awesome.

I have no idea why,  but today I thought a little bat doing some Easter egg hunting would be cute... hey you know my brain is odd.

Doodle 242 - Waiting

We had a full day, paid bills, ran a bunch of errands and ended the day meeting up with friends and pretty much closing the Magic Kingdom before finally getting home and having a chance to upload my doodle.

Good news: my new drafting table got here today, I'm so excited! We will have a full day of putting furniture together tomorrow.

Still here are some photos of the new Tangled toilets at Fantasyland... they are the most magical restrooms ever.

Just a quick doodle for tonight. I am trying to finish unpacking the last of our clothes.

It's been both windy and spring-like here. I managed 3 quick doodles today!

Doodle 239 - Ready for Deliveries

Well, my desk is still all slabs of wood and misc parts. I will assemble it tomorrow.

I have that and a big chest if drawers to tackle, wish me luck, I am an IKEA assembly veteran, but I have never tried to do large pieces on my own.

Doodle 238 - Mermaid Bonnet

Tomorrow Andrei starts his new job. I'm both excited and proud, he is an excellent worker and always amazes me with his expertise, determination and incredible work ethic and attention to detail.

Of course I would say this even if I didn't love him to bits, his ocd can be a real asset in his line of work.

We spent today running around getting the last bits of the move done and visiting IKEA once more to buy me a new desk and a chest of drawers... because the old ones we had sort of didn't survive the trip.

We also did actual grocery shopping and tomorrow I'll cook my first set of meals and start making lunches again.

Yup, the role of housewife will be played by me for a bit. Haven't done it in years so it is kinda fun and scary at once.

Doodle 237 - Huntress

My kitchen is pretty much unpacked, woohoo! I found the spoons and stuff, we shall survive.

My pc is still offline... hopefully tomorrow will be the day. My sitting room and dining room still look like a mess. Still, we are getting there.

Doodle 236 - Getting to a brand new normal

Today it was all about getting all the necessary odds that make a home. Silly things like trash cans, shower curtains, brooms, lamps, etc.

We spent most of the day at IKEA, and it made me very happy and excited about slowly reaching a brand new normal.

Hopefully we will finish packing soon. I know I'll use most of the week setting up everything to the way I like it, and hopefully tomorrow my computer Will go back online.

For now, here is a quick doodle to finish my night.

Doodle 235 - Just a quick one.

The unpacking has begun! We are still exhausted and sore all over, but we are so happy to be home that we are slowly chipping away at it.

I might talk Andrei into going next door to play at Magic Kingdom tomorrow for a bit, just to celebrate.

Doodle 233 - Getting Outta Dodge

We have no internets, we turned it all off. Tonight we will be packing all we have left to pack and tomorrow we will hit the road early to embark in a brand new adventure.

It was my last day of work and we had drinks with our friends to say goodbye.

It is a bitter sweet feeling, leaving, but we are overdue for a change and we won't be too far away, so we hope they come by and visit often.

I stole a bit of time away from packing to do a quick doodle. My last Tallahassee doodle.

Doodle 232 - Explaining Things

A friend said she had to explain the difficulty of her job, ranking it from wrench monkey to rocket scientist.

I said that she should say her job was as complex and difficult to explain as a monkey with several advanced degrees wearing goggles, a Victorian suit and using a jetpack... yeah.

The packing continues but I took a small break to do my daily doodle.

Doodle 230 - Dragon Mama

MegaCon was a lot of fun, and so much more manageable than DragonCon, I am sure Comic-Con is totally insane by comparison.

One of the costumes I kept bumping into were from Game of Thrones.

Now, I haven't read the books yet, much less watched the HBO version, but Andrei has and he is always more than happy to answer any questions I might have.

So tonight I doodled my version of the mother of dragons, just because.

Well, we are back to Tallahassee one last time. By next week we will be gone. It is sort of odd, can't quite believe it is so close.

I managed a doodle after another full day of running around.

I'm exhausted but had an awesome time and I really, really can't wai to be living down here already to stop having to drive back up to Tallahassee every time we do something fun.

Somehow we are just a tiny bit over one week away from moving.

I was sick for so long I hadn't really been of any help either at home or work. Andrei has been packing like a maniac but we still need to secure a moving company and finish all the rest if the packing.

We will be away from home this weekend getting things ready in Orlando and attending MegaCon, we are going to be busy and my cough needs to stop.

I just need to get better already! Mind over matter and all that jazz.

Well another day sick... but it looks like things are finally starting to feel better.

Really, I hope I am better by tomorrow.

Well I think I might be finally getting better.  Still, the cats were still all over me... mostly because I had a heating pad and they love that thing nearly as much as ham.

Doodle 219 - My lady

Well today was quite eventful. I turned in my resignation from the job I have had and loved for the past 4 years and change to relocate to central Florida, where Andrei will start a new job in just a couple of weeks.

We are at the brink of starting a brand new chapter of our life, but unlike those many years ago when we were alone and trying to make it, we now have awesome friends who have helped and continue to wow us with their generosity and assistance finding where to live, etc.

I will miss my team dearly, after so many years we have bonded and become family, helping each other through impossible deadlines and so many campaigns.

Also my bronchitis is back in full force so I'm typing this while feverish and exhausted.

Still,  the drawing must go on and I managed one doodle.  Also I am adding a photo of one of my cat nurses sleeping on my chest and keeping me warm.

Woot! Back on the routine. Our lease expires this month and we are on the process of finding new digs, so I have been busy lately getting my ducks in a row and getting ready to move, so please bear with me for the following weeks!

Holy cow it has been sooo cold this weekend, really didn't feel like Florida at all lol.

I managed to doodle a couple of things, a bird surfing on top of a bus lol and randomness.

Doodle 213 - Welcome to March!

BWAHAHAHA! Yes, my month is finally here, BEHOLD! For my birthday is soon... yeah... I am one of those people that love their birthday.

I like getting old, and really, it is easy when people assume you are much younger because... well... because you don't act your age, but still, it is good.

I doodled just a bit today since work was crazy... really, I don't know how I managed to finish everything I had to do today.
