Doodle 194 - Another Adventure Completed!

Well, the sitting room is a mess of dirty clothes and suitcases, the cats have been retrieved from the pet resort and I have updated all the entries from my days at sea with the doodles I managed to draw in between meals, running around and exploring both the Disney ship and the Disney private island... for reals ya'll that island is soooo cute.

Anyway, I know you guys were busy while I was away and I am very pleased to say I brought a bunch of stuff back with me to reward your efforts.

I made sure the prizes were Disney Cruise related.

I have to admit I had a hard time figuring out myself! You see, I was supposed to ask the crew for a number, but I developed a bad case of vacation brain and totally forgot, and believe you me, we had plenty of chances, it just went off the ship as soon as I boarded, but never fear! I am a google master, so I found out that the dream has 1,250 guest staterooms and an additional 875 staterooms used by the wonderful crew.

Yes, that ship is both beautiful and huge!

I will be lying if I didn't confess I actually took well over two hours mulling things over before finally coming up with a victor, and even then I felt so strongly that everybody had worked hard on their drawings that I decided to award two additional prizes.

Soooo, we went out to dinner with friends yesterday before returning home, there was a sign on a fence of the restaurant and this idea came into my head... yeah... sorry no other explanations, just that LOL.

Doodle 193 - life is magic

I am doodling and posting just as we make our way to Magic Kingdom.
Andrei and I have been playing a mobile game called life is magic. It is a ton of fun and my character is a sorceress. I did a quick sketch of what I would like her to look like.

Doodle 192 - I'm baaack (sorta)

Hello everybody! Did you miss me? I missed you!
I did as I promised and now I have of drawings to upload and a day to fix since apparently I am bad at keeping time and skipped an automated post on Sunday... Seriously, I need help LOL.
Anyway, we had a ton of fun, and we are still away from home, so you will have to wait till Sunday night to see who gets the Disney Cruise goodies I gathered for you.
I have to say, I'm going to have a great time going over submissions, you all rock!
Ok here are two quick doodles for today.

Doodle 191 - OMG land!!!

I have no idea where we are supposed to be today... comes to show how sometimes I can be totally clueless about our trip itineraries (ask my friends, it might be shocking to learn this, since I plan things a LOT).

This is what happens when you have all that cruise food.

I should be getting back to land soon. Today all you have to do is answer the following trivia question first in the comments and you get a prize! Doodle 190 - Captains log

We are still marooned in a luxury ship, the meals are gigantic and we might not make it back into the pants we came in with... we might need to break out the sweatpants... lord help us...

So much food... why, oh whyyyy did we do this?

Is everybody drawing? Draw people draw! Suffer with meee! Hahaha... ah, yeah... aaanyway, today the competition will be about sea shanties. Don't worry, you don't have to compose one (but you can if you want, I have no idea how to), all you need to do is research them and find your favorite, then post it in the comments (if you find a youtube video of it the better so we can all hear it), then I will pick my favorite of the bunch as a winner.

If there are duplicates of my favorite I will do a coin toss.

This was a busy day, but I got a bunch of stuff done since it was our only sea day and I decided to go Mermaid crazy:

A crew member came by as I sat on the deck chair drawing this and let me know he had tripped while walking by and noticing my drawing. Thankfully he didn't fall overboard.

Doodle 189 - I am still out there... somewhere

Hopefully they still haven't thrown us overboard... hey, Andrei gets restless and can't sit down for longer than 15 minutes, it can dicey in closed quarters hehehe.

Ah, relaxing vacations...

Don't worry if your Haiku comments aren't showing, I'll see them and publish them when I get back and I am sure they are all pure awesomesauce.

For today I'll make it a little harder, and the souvenir I give away for it will match the difficulty level.

Sooo... what is it that you have to do? Just draw me a mermaid (or a merman, no discrimination here), any skill levels welcomed, as always.

You will have until Saturday Feb 9th to submit your art pieces. Hey, it gives you some time to doodle something, anything! Do eet! I promise it doesn't hurt... unless you have a freak accident with an overly sharpened crayon, in which case, I apologize and I hope your eye/hand/whatever it is you stabbed accidentally heals soon.

The Carnival ship that kept stalking us.

This needs an explanation...

 So, about the cows, we had our anniversary dinner at Remy, the fancy adults only restaurant aboard the Dream, it is a foodies paradise with course after course of high French cuisine. One of the highlights of the mean was the Wagyu beef from Australia, these cows are on par with the best Kobe beef from Japan, Andrei explained it to me like so:

"So, Wagyu beef is when they get two cows, give them little knifes and make it fight... TO THE DEATH! And then the one who wins is the Wagyu".

So, yeah, that's not it at all, but I nearly spit out my very expensive Evian water and made our server laugh, so I had to doodle it really fast.... you are welcome.

Doodle 188 - At Sea Shenanigans

Weee! So I am now floating aboard the beautiful Disney Dream to much warmer and bluer (is bluer even a word?!) waters:

Dramatic representation, not up to scale... yeah.

But that doesn't mean I haven't doodled today, as a matter of fact I probably am either about to start or already finished, the only problem? I have no way to connect to the internets (that doesn't cost an arm and a leg), so you will have to wait until I get back to see what I have been up to.

While you wait, let's play a game! Is there anything for you on this? Why, I am glad you asked!

Doodle 187 - A quick one before we cast off.

I did a quick doodle before we embarked, I was so excited I could barely concentrate so it isn't much to look at, but a doodle is a doodle.

Well-being, today was a long day, but we are finally by the port and ready to start yet another adventure. I manage to do very quick doodles, one of me excited and then what happens when I get too excited and try to jump... I am uncoordinated.

Doodle 185 - Getting Ready

Sooo it is the day before my trip, I worked hard, nearly drove myself insane and I forgot to pack... so I am now on full packing panic mode LOL. Yeah... anyway... I better go get myself organized before morning comes and I am left panicking.
